The legacy of Mufasa, the ultimate king of the jungle, is brought to vivid life in Hindi with Mufasa: The Lion King. This year’s most anticipated release features the iconic Shah Rukh Khan, who reprises his role as Mufasa from the blockbuster 2019 live-action adaptation. His sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, join the cast, with Aryan voicing Simba and AbRam as Young Mufasa.
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his deep connection to the character, stating, “Mufasa’s legacy as the ultimate king of the jungle resonates deeply with me as a father. The movie features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda and English voices including Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, and Braelyn Rankins as Young Mufasa. Mufasa: The Lion King will premiere in Indian theatres on December 20, 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
