In a recent interview, Brad Pitt shared his thoughts on nearing the final phase of his illustrious acting career. He discussed this topic alongside George Clooney, providing insights into their future plans in film.
Speaking with GQ, Pitt elaborated on his belief that he is entering the “last leg” of his career, likening it to different seasons of life. He described the transition from the “safety of the Ozarks” to the challenges and excitement of the film industry, reflecting on the responsibilities and opportunities that come with it.
Pitt also touched on his perspective regarding aging and creativity, admiring architect Frank Gehry, who, at 95, continues to create remarkable art and maintain a loving family. Pitt emphasized that staying passionate about life is key to sustaining creativity.
In the same interview, Clooney added that both actors are fortunate to have the freedom to plan their futures without the pressure to retire. He acknowledged the fear of job offers dwindling with age but offered two paths for actors: embracing change and continuing to do interesting character work or clinging to past roles.
Clooney shared his own experiences with aging and making peace with the inevitable changes in life. He noted that adapting to these changes is crucial, and both he and Pitt are determined to navigate this phase of their careers with grace.
The duo will next be seen together in Wolfs, set to release on September 20, 2024.
