Bollywood’s power couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, have been blessed with their first child—a beautiful baby girl—on Sunday. The baby was born at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital, with both mother and child reported to be in excellent health. The joyous news comes just a day after the couple was spotted at the hospital.
Adding to the celebrations, their daughter’s arrival coincided with Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival known for ushering in good fortune and removing obstacles, making it a truly auspicious occasion for the family.
Earlier in the week, Deepika and Ranveer were seen visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, likely to seek blessings ahead of their big day. The couple had announced their pregnancy in February this year through an Instagram post, with Deepika revealing she was in her second trimester and expecting the baby in September. However, the exact due date was kept private.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in a grand yet intimate ceremony in Italy in November 2018. Following their wedding, the couple hosted several receptions in India, sharing stunning moments from the celebrations on social media.
Just a few days before the birth, the duo set the internet ablaze with their elegant maternity photoshoot. Deepika proudly flaunted her baby bump, and the pictures radiated love, companionship, and a deep sense of togetherness.
Despite her pregnancy, Deepika has remained active in her film career. She was recently spotted on the sets of Singham Again, where she portrays a cop in her first appearance in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. She also stars in Nag Ashwin’s highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD.
