Nestled behind an old Portuguese villa, this Thai eatery and bar, designed by EHV International and inspired by the Siamese Fireback bird, promises an authentic culinary experience with a focus on traditional grilling techniques.

On a warm evening, Fireback’s serene outdoor setting creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining adventure. Led by renowned chef David Thompson, the menu features an array of traditional Thai dishes, from fragrant curries to tangy stir-fries, while the cocktail selection, crafted with Thai-inspired ingredients, enhances the dining experience.
Highlights of the visit included the Grilled Chicken with pomegranate and toasted coconut, subtly infused with lemongrass, and the tender Pork Belly served with a rich Thai dip. The Crispy Squid was a standout starter with its perfect texture and flavor balance, while the Crab Fried Rice provided a comforting, flavorful main course.


Rohit Khattar’s vision for Fireback shines through, reflecting a dedication to delivering an authentic Thai dining experience in a relaxed setting. With Chef Thompson’s expertise and a team trained in Bangkok, Fireback offers a welcoming space where guests can savor the essence of Thai cuisine.
The restaurant’s design, created by London’s Russell Sage Studio in collaboration with EHV’s Director of Design Rashmi Khattar and architect Pratap Naik, features modern glass house architecture that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, offering stunning views of the river and St. Anthony’s Church.
