In a tragic incident, Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has reportedly died by suicide, according to a report from ANI. As per police statements, Anil Arora is believed to have jumped from a terrace. Further details regarding the incident are still awaited.
ANI shared the news on social media platform X, stating, “Father of actress-model Malaika Arora died by suicide by jumping off a terrace. Police team is present at the spot: Mumbai Police.”
Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, was seen visiting her residence on Wednesday morning, accompanied by police officers.
Malaika’s parents, Joyce Polycarp and Anil Arora, separated when she was 11 years old. In a previous interview with Filmfare, Malaika reflected on her upbringing alongside her younger sister, Amrita Arora. She shared, “I had a wonderful childhood, but it wasn’t easy. Looking back, the word I would use to describe it is tumultuous. But tough times teach you important lessons too.”
