Growing up in Mian Channu, a small village in Punjab, Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem was inspired by local tent pegging competitions, which shared similarities with javelin throw. Despite financial struggles, his family prioritized his nutrition, ensuring he had access to just two vital superfoods: milk and ghee.

Arshad’s uncle, Mohammad Ashraf, shared how they managed to provide these essential foods even during tough times. “Despite earning just 300-400 rupees a day to support nine people, we made sure Arshad and his siblings always had milk and ghee,” he said.
